Who is Cynthia Braddock?

Cynthia “Cindy” Braddock was appointed through a competitive process to be the Boulder County Assessor in January 26, 2017 to fill the seat left vacant by the retirement of Jerry Roberts.

Cindy is a Colorado native, grew up in Boulder and graduated from Fairview High School in 1975. After a few years attending University of Colorado in Boulder, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography in 1981 from the University of Minnesota.  She has more than 20 years of course work and training in appraisal, technologies to support fair assessments and in administration of the Assessor's Office.

A third generation public servant, Cindy was hired by the Boulder County Assessor’s Office in January of 1995 and since then has held various roles with increasing responsibilities. Her work experience is firmly rooted her understanding of the property assessment process. Using her broad background and understanding of technology, office management, staff supervision and mass appraisal, Cindy has served the citizens of Boulder County for more than 20 years.

Cindy and her husband Nathan Braddock live in Louisville. They have a blended family of six grown children and 9 grandchildren, most of who live in the Boulder and Denver Metro area. As a longtime resident of Boulder County and the City of Louisville, Cindy is passionate about being the County Assessor, working in partnership with County staff, citizens, residents, business owners to provide fair and equitable valuation for all the properties in Boulder County.
